EUROMAP 82.3 — IMM to LSR Dosing Systems

The official page defines IMM-to-LSR-dosing-system data exchange and publishes Release 1.02.0 dated 2025-04-01, identical to OPC 40082-3 Release 1.02.0 and VDMA 40082-3:2025-04.

Boundary: The stated target of cross-manufacturer compatibility is a specification objective, not proof that the proposed endpoints implement or interoperate through it.

01Does EUROMAP 82.3 or OPC 40082-3 prove that an IMM and LSR dosing system are compatible?

No. Fix the exact IMM, LSR injection-unit and LDS configurations; selected release/model and conformance scope; physical path; synchronization split; endpoint functions; and configuration-specific FAT/SAT evidence.

02Can the existing non-LSR dosing-system checklist be used for an LSR project?

Not as the release record. OPC 40082-4 explicitly excludes LSR dosing and refers it to OPC 40082-3. Keep the two routes linked but preserve separate material, equipment, thermal, synchronization and evidence boundaries.

03Is an LSR cold runner the same as the hot-runner controller interface on this site?

No. The hot-runner route owns thermoplastic electrical heating zones, sensors, plugs, valves and controller scope. The LSR route records the identified cold-runner material/thermal and mold-entry handoff. Neither proves the other.

04Does OPC 40082-3 include dosing synchronization or emergency-stop signals?

No. The official scope says dosing synchronization requires an additional interface such as hardwired signals and excludes safety-related signals such as emergency stop. Record those paths and responsible parties separately.

05Can a material-supplier ratio or operating recommendation be copied into this RFQ?

Not as a universal value. Retain the exact producer, grade, document revision, component and project approval. Qualified material, equipment and project parties must review every formulation, value and operating instruction.
